Abi Joy Samuel is a multi-award-winning fine artist based in London. Working predominantly in charcoal on paper, Abi embarks on a spiritual journey to grasp the ephemeral nature of life. She achieves this by drawing from personal film footage without interruption, occasionally rewinding the video.

Samuel received her education in art and design at Central Saint Martins and the University of Westminster, where she earned a degree in Fashion Design. Her inaugural solo show attracted the attention of an art critic from The New York Times.

In 2019, Samuel was honored with the prestigious Lexus Prize at the Hampstead Art Fair and, more recently, awarded the 1st prize at Inch Arts Gallery in Manchester. She has also completed a 10-week intensive drawing program at the Royal Drawing School and in 2023, had a solo show at J/M Gallery in Notting Hill curated by Vittoria Beltrame.
