Keisuke Azuma is a Japanese abstract painter based in London, UK. Central to his practice is the appreciation for the beauty of nature and human-nature relationship. Azuma believes that everyone has a special place in nature and encourages viewers to engage actively with his paintings. The artist invites people to project their own interpretations onto the canvas, discover and connect with their inner selves.

Embracing the balance between expression and intention, Azuma's works attract attention and access viewers’ emotional realm, providing an embodied experience of reminiscence. To deepen the emotional resonance, Azuma occasionally integrates other media. His strength lies in constructing and broadening the creative process through dialogues with people, which allows him to expand the creative horizons and make works more accessible. The main objective of Azuma’s practice is to establish a space within the art that encourages viewers to engage in introspective dialogue with themselves.

Azuma is actively engaging in a contemporary art field, developing the practice. Recent achievements include the New Future Award at The Other Art Fair and taking part in the exhibitions at the Royal Academy.
